Need Help backing up my ps4

I recently bought a Seagate 1TB external HDD so that I could back up my PS4 and update the internal HDD to 1TB internal HDD I also bought.
The external is mac and I'm trying to format it to windows, and I opened disk management but it won't let me format to FAT32. How I can the change the format so that the PS4 recognizes the USB device? I keep plugging it in, but it won't read it.

The Playstation cloud service is 10 GB now I thought for each individual... Surely, you can fit all of your important game saves on there and not worry about trying to go from internal to external and then back to internal again.
