I purchased a 360 a few weeks ago to quench my NCAA 14 thirst, now I am hungry for some college basketball. Which game was better to you..NCAA 10 or CH2K8?

Its been so long since I've played both..I remember the game play for NCAA 10 was shite but the presentation was awesome. For College Hoops 2K8, game play was ok, and the season tip-off show was the tits.

Which one would you guys roll with?

NCAA 2009 was pretty damn cool, 2010 was cool too. The 2K8 game is just so damn old, I can't get past the graphics...

Idk if you have a PS4, but you can set up a single season with authentic College Teams. This guy has made over 50 teams to choose from.

If you're gonna get one, get NCAA 10 bc it's got better graphics.

I used to play it all the time until I found out you could turn NBA 2k17 into NCAA 2k17. Use the rosters from Operation Sports and it gives you everything from courts, unis, and rosters. It's great. It's 100 times more fun than playing NCAA 10

Will they have all NCAA teams, or just enough to fill out the 30 or so NBA teams on the OS rosters?

I think you can actually edit in up to 36 teams. But hell thats more than enough. It's a blast man, seriously I love it

2k8 has the best dynasty mode in any sports game. 2k8 gameplay wise is pretty bad and really shows its age. If you want a great college basketball simulator 2k8 is the best.

I recently bought both because I always get the itch to play a college basketball game when the tournament starts.. NCAA Basketball 10 is more arcadey. If that makes sense, but it's the newer game. If you play NBA 2k, you might enjoy 2k8 better even though it's older

I know they have more than 50, but you cannt load all 50 into a season, I think 36 of them is the max

All this thread is doing is making me rehash my hate for EA. Frick EA and their greed and stupidity that led to us not having any college games anymore.

Didn't they try to pay licensing to the players after the suit and the NCAA said no? It's really the NCAA's fault IMO. I understood why the players filed suit and EA had no control over the ruling. The NCAA is dumb for not allowing EA to pay a small licensing fee to each player in the game

Yeah it's the NCAA's fault that the games were cancelled. But EA can still make the games, they just don't think it's worth it. All they have to do is make every player random and give us an option to edit players. Problem solved.

I bought NCAA Basketball 10 used at Gamestop. Literally the only PS3 disk I've ever bought that the system could not read

Looked awesome though, and I'm not really a basketball fan.

Have a 2k8 closed legacy right now. I started at Texas State and won the SWAC tourney In season 2, advancing to the Big Dance. I then spent 8 seasons at post-Curry Davidson. I went to 5 tourneys, including a year 3 sweet sixteen and an elite eight appearance that I was able to parlay into the UNC job. Haven't played any there yet but am excited.

Pro Recruiting Tip: International players. You may be able to land an occasional out of reach player (I regularly pulled in 3 stars at Davidson. I got 3 4 stars and 1 5 star recruiting internationally) but you can clean up on players that are in your range. It's a great technique to dominate a mid-major conference

At low major conference always try and recruit the ranked 2 two player. They will come in and be a starter year one and be the best player in their conference in maybe two years. When you get to a mid major job recruit international players that are ranked 5 stars. I could usually pull a 4 star or two at a mid major. At a high major job just recruit low 5 star and high 4 star. They are good enough to help you early and will stay for at least 3 years.
