I take the inside receiver and hot route him to slant towards the side lines...Normally a quick drop and he has alot of room to run...It works well for me..I havent noticed if it works just on Zone or Man but normally by the time he hits the sidelines he is clear to the endzone if the two WRs can block their men.

Oh I agree with you on that... I am talking about a receiver running a perfect route, wide open, and the pass is right there but the wr keeps running with no attempt... I love qb's overthrowing etc, but when a ball hits a wr and he's oblivious that he's got a ball there, it's a little glitch...

Ahhhhh, gotcha.
Yea, that would be silly. I haven't seen it yet, but have only finished 1 game so far.
That would suck.

Nothings worse than running a bubble or wr quick screen and the ball hittin yo receiver dead in the fricking face.

Those damn plays rarely work for me, but for whatever reason, that doesn't stop me from trying them a couple of times per game.

One of the things I'm exactly talking about...

All the bitching in this thread reminds me of something that has been in every installment of NCAA as far as I can remember and it bugs the shite out of me.
On routes across the middle, when two WR/TE run into eachother because they have similar routes.
It happens with Ace Big - TE Cross, and alot of times on plays with slant patterns. It seems like they woulda fixed that shite by now, but then again, they are EA.

And that is why I never trust my WRs/TEs when there is an AI read involved. Too many times I was expecting what they SHOULD have done, threw the ball, and had it picked because they fricked up.

This. Its the worst on hitch routes against bump & run. Even tho its not an option route, the damn receiver decides he wants to run a fade instead of a hitch. I understand that the AI might read that i'm throwing it before he makes his break, but that's only because I want it to be there when he turns around and not throw it when he stops because that's picked every fricking time.

The list goes on and on
WTF are you doing up this late anyway?

Definitely a lot of misses to open recievers
Taylor Martinez might as well be a damn manaquin in this game. The read option is broken, so all I can do is throw and pray he doesn't throw it behind the wr (which has resulted in 5 interceptions so far this year in my league, which is only 4 games old)

Yeah I was about to ask everyone the same question. I like the imporved zone D. I feel there are way too many dropped passes by WRs, and the DT picking off passes with one hand when the ball was intended for a reciever on a streak is pretty frustrating!
It happens every year though, the defenders are jumping fifteen yards in a single bound, but then EA tunes it up, and it gets realistic.
FWIW, I love the new realism of the running game

I like that they tried to make the Defense more difficult, but I think at times they did it at the expense of realism. I've got to adjust my game to the defense, but it's frustrating with super human breaks on the ball. I synced up a replay with my pressing of a button to a receiver where the safety with his back to the ball broke off the man he was covering (before the ball left the qbs hand mind you) to make the pick. I just had to
I do love the running game though.
Anybody else notice that defensive ends seem to get blocked for about half a second before they get free when you're on O?

Definitely tougher to throw this year. After throwing 4 picks against Oregon, I went back to the drawing board...
In '11, you could pretty much bank on a TE Post no matter what the coverage...but you can only hit it about 50% of the time in '12.
I reorganized my entire offense to be more true pro style with heavy emphasis on running the rock and then play action off of that.
If you can use your hot routes effectively, the play action ought to give you a few more options in the passing game.

I started my dynasty last night (not online). And i played oregan. I threw 5 int's with Jefferson. 3 were just bad passes on my end, but the other 2, were just bad passes by jefferson. Threw it 10 yards behind my receiver, int returned for a TD.
Put in Mettenburger in the 4th, won 31-23
