I finishe one year in my career and decided to switch to mygm. Having a blast with it so far. Just have a few questions.

Started off with a fantasy draft with the Pelicans.

Starting out my projected profit is -40+ million. I'm only about 10 or so games in, but it's not budging. I know it's a small market team so it will be tough, but what are some areas I need to focus on, places to spend VC in order to fix this issue?

I did the mode with just simming games for about 10-15 seasons. I ended up getting fired for this every time bc I couldn't turn the profits around even though I was winning games.

Help me out here.

Gotta raise GM attributes.

Change ticket prices.

Can't just Sim every season. There is something to change every season.

I'm not simming any of the season. I'm actually playing this one.

Which ones are best in making money??

By raising or lowering at first? Wouldn't raising drive fans away?

Also when allocating my budget at the end of the year. If I dump it all into player and coaches salaries will that hurt me in my profit margins?

Next gen. I just bumped to level 4 business savy. Going to make it to level 5 in a few games and then start buying arena upgrades to increase ticket sales and bring in fans. I'm assuming this is the best route.

Care to share details???

How many years have you played? How did you max out so quick? Team? Championships? Roster changes? Just how the general GM mode is going.

I have totally gone a different direction. I have yet to upgrade my actual GM.

In the first year I didn't hard agree to anything but acquiring a top pick. I dumped Gordon for a pick that turned into a top 5 and dumped Reke for a top ten. Ended up with two top fives and a top ten. So my fan buzz for the next year was through the roof.

Signed a top free agent and made conference finals...... Profit! For the next 3-4 years I had 3 really good players at reduced rate which was huge on my budget.

I wouldn't mind going this route except for the fact that it is going to take so long to get through one season.

I have actually managed to trade for what should be 2 great first round picks though.

My starting line up is Teague, joe Johnson, Lebron, glen Davis and sullinger. I have taj Gibson as my 6th man and Ronnie brewer and splitter rounding out my bench (I did a serpentine fantasy draft).

I'm 10-2 to start the season and managed to make trades for 2 first round picks from teams who started off horrible. Looking to draft a PG and add depth at another position in the draft. I can win now and still work on building with my position now. My main issue is making money.

How are you affording all those guys? What seasons are you on?

I tried to download a draft class but it didn't work for some reason.

I'm in year 1. Had a fantasy draft with the Pels (Idk why I didn't just play with current roster). I'm 20-7 right now, about to enter jan. Looking good. I managed to put together a decent team and get one pick that will be a lottery pick and have the pacers pick but they are looking like a playoff team.

I'm only in my second season sitting at 18-5. I know pretty soon I'll have to cut bait with someone. Might trade away Tyreke and Ryan Anderson to save money and get some picks with the emergence of Rivers and he'll be cheaper. I think Anthony Davis is due for a new contract in a year or two and I'm sure it will be a monster.

I didn't do a fantasy draft though. Traded Gordon and a 1st rounder to the 76ers for Noel and their 1st rounder. Simulated most of that 1st season and had the best odds in the draft lottery to get the #1 pick but ended up with the #4 pick. Made a couple of trades to get the #1 and got Wiggins, and he's an absolute beast.

Picked up Tyshawn Taylor in free agency, who is a really good backup PG. Signed Morrow to a two year deal.

Anthony Davis and Noel are one and two in the league in blocks. Team is sick.

I pretty much gutted the Bulls and stockpiled picks. I got the 1 overall by record, 3 and 12 by trades. I lucked out getting all 3 of the "super freshmen" As HG said, Wiggins is a monster.

I'm on year 4, back to back champs. My bench is also very good because of the draft. Seems like I've lucked out so far. The scouting upgrades for my GM help out tremendously.

Yea I bought 35,000 VC last night

Also have about 60/70 attributes upgraded. They help a hell of a lot with upping your players Overall rating.
