Josh Selby started figuring out exactly what Goose is capable of last night in a nailbiter against Dallas.
16 points, 6 boards, 6 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal, and 4 out of final 6 points.
dude still can't pass worth a shite out of a screen and roll.

my best play last night.
down 4 against the Rockets. less than 2 minutes left. fricking Josh Selby shooting us out of the game.
Rudy Gay swings it to me at the top of the key. Selby is wide open on the wing for a 3. My man and his man are shading me.
I double tap the pass button for a fake pass, both of them sprint towards Selby knowing he's ready to sling up another 3 point brick.
I dribble straight down the middle of the lane for a thunderous backwards dunk over Jeremy Linh.

So, me and Grizzlies go on a road trip with less than 10 games left in the season. Currently battling for 4th seed instead of a 5th seed against the Golden State Warriors.
We play @ LA. Josh Selby starting PG. He has 8 turnovers but 28 points. High scorer. We get arse fricked by the Lakers , by 29 points.
GOOSE plays like shite, well because, Selby is the worst point guard ever to play the game of basketball.
I feel like I'm watching some JV scrub play like he thinks he is Dwayne Wade. Jacking up shots all over. Taking on 1 on 3 breaks. Essentially killing all team chemistry on the court. Refusing to even use the screens in simple screen and rolls. Passing the ball all over the court. And getting destroyed defensively against Steve Nash (24 points)
I played like shite minus 6 boards, 3 blocks, and a steal. Only 4 points. Of course were Selby putbacks, lol. There were points in the game, where I would literally not even cross halfcourt on our fastbreaks because I knew he wouldn't pass it to me or he'd take a contested layup instead of passing to Rudy Gay for a thunderous dunk. I would just save my turbo and stamina for locking up Kobe the best I could.
I go immediately to the GM after the game. Telling him there is a certain player I don't like to play with. Josh Selby. He says that management and coaching staff has been monitoring it, they agree, and are taking my side. Then that they will deal with him via trade or cutting his playing time.
I go back to the menu, check out the rotation for us. Selby minutes drop from 32 per game to 9. frick YEAH.
Since Conley and Bayless are out for the season and Selby got his arse benched. The only viable option at PG is to make 6'7" Small Forward with 70 rated handles, GOOSE the starting Point Guard. Whatever, lets do this. This is an important stretch of games and we need every win we can get. GOOSE can play every position on the court.
vs the Spurs.
GOOSE goes HAM. 18 points, 14 assists, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal. Rudy Gay and I lit it up with one play over and over and over all night. He ended with 44 points. We blow out the Spurs by 23 points.
So at this point with less than 8 games left in the season and us scrapping for the 4th seed instead of the 5th seed and playing one of our best games all year vs the Spurs, one would think GOOSE is now the starting PG right?
frick NO. 2 games later Selby is the starter again and I'm coming off the bench. At which we lose to the Kings and only beat the shitty fricking Mavericks by 3 points at home.

I'm gonna go Dwight Howard on the Grizzlies if Selby causes us to lose 1st round of the playoffs and isn't traded away in the off-season.

i'm not playing games with this Josh Selby situation. this is my nba career we are talking.
last night i lost all hope to ever play with him when we lost to LA. on one fastbreak. 2 v 2. I was wide open for oop or layup. he does spin move reverse layup. hits bottom of the backboard. i paused game and walked off to cool down.
i'm gonna start adding screenshots of his #'s vs my #'s. and some situations where he fricks us. i'll add tomorrow. create my own thread.

I imagine that is how Damien Lillard feels about me.
Lillard averaged 20ppg 9apg 4rpg as a starter and gets replaced by me averaging 15ppg, 5apg, 2rpg, and have bouts of turnoveritis.
Randomly halfway through the season, the team trades Batum for a some ballhog SG and a scrub SF. Pissed me off. I think that Lillard had him traded because I told the GM that I think Batum is amazing.
However, my stats have drastically improved since I became the starter. I am now averaging over 25ppg, 7 apg, and 5 rpg.
The Rookie of the year right now is between me, Lillard, and Davis.

Just an FYI, if you guys are having trouble staying in front of people, make sure you up your defensive awareness rating. I had maximum quickness and on ball defense and would still get blown by on MyPlayer blacktop games, so I maxed out my defensive awareness since it's really cheap, and now I can shut down just about any ball handler.

my passing ability is around 70, but when i go to throw oops to Rudy Gay, about 50 percent of the time i throw it behind him or 3 feet above his hands. why? what atribute do i need to improve to throw oops properly?
