I know there are a number of 2K fans in here so kinda surprised there is no thread yet on this.

While I still have to get used to the new controls, I LOVE the gameplay so far. I think it's the nicest basketball game I've gotten to play. Animations are very smooth, speed, weight and strength play a huge factor here and the collision system is very nicely done

It's available? Is it on the Xbox dashboard?

Not a big sports video game fan but the game is pretty tight. Legit player movements. Feels more realistic, tad sluggish, but I prefer that over the Arcade glide feel. will they ever get stadium crowd graphic right?

Take it with a spoon of sugar,I played 2k11 for 3 weeks before I hated it.

Jay Z soundtrack is off the chain!

I've put way too many hours into NBA 2k12 association mode so I am definitely familiar with 2k. 2K13 feels awesome. I love how westbrook brings the ball up like westbrook and not a generic scoring point guard like on 2K12. The dribble move stick is going to take some getting used to but I think I'm going to really like this edition of NBA 2K.

I hope they actually put some effort into improving the offline association mode.

This is my main thing. There have been so many times that I've blown past my defender but forget to hold L2, or the left trigger for 360ers, to use the shot stick, so my guy just does another move in the paint

Don't know if you've seen it or not but I saw a video on operation sports that leaked all the player ratings for 2k13. Anthony Davis was listed as a center too.. thought that was odd.

Yeah I saw that post but at work right now. I can't see Davis being a center at his weight.

That guy also said Association mode is the exact same but I just can't see them not making any changes to it

You know, I can see them not making too many changes to association because there is only so much you can do.. Really I'm hoping for a lot better trade logic. Trade logic is frickED on the default rosters.

That's true, I think it is done smoothly. It will be interesting if they incorporate the All-Star Weekend stuff into Association and how they decide everything, like the Slam Dunk field if certain players are hurt.

Trades for me can get a little too easy and I can usually load my team up with talent until I give myself guidelines on how many trades I can do

That's exactly what I do too. I give myself rules on trades so I can't load my team. I always try to stay under the cap and I won't trade draft picks usually.

I still play 2k11 over 2k12. I actually took 2k12 back a few days ago to get the most trade-in before 2k13 comes out and it goes down to worth $5. The gameplay in 2k11 is just WAY better than it was in 2k12. Your teammates actually space out correctly and the fact that there isn't insane amounts of collision makes the game better alone. It's definitely more of a scorer/shooter's game than 2k12. I've raged so many times playing myplayer and having a hand right in my guy's face and he'll still drain it with consistency.

With that said, I'm loving 2k13. I had a thread full of all the updates and a few dev videos. I guess people lost interest or it didn't get bumped enough.

ETA: Actually, it looks like it got whacked. Not sure why...

Just made Perkins fall on his arse when he was trying to guard LeBron on the perimeter. I fricking love this game so far.

How do you oop? Or can you even do it in the demo? Pressed LT+B. Had the perfect setup for a Lebron to Wade oop but all he did was spin move to the basket. Is it a different command now?

I think it's shoot and pass now, so X and square on the PS3 (Don't know for the 360)

You have to press A+X and point the LS in the direction you want to throw it. You can even throw oops to yourself on a fast break by pointing it at the goal.
