I'll take the Cubs. I just hope they've resolved the lag issues from last year. That pretty much ruins the whole experience.

There is a learning curve. Not like NCAA of Madden where you can score 100+ on a low level.
It's identical to real baseball in every aspect. Close games, working the pitcher to get into the bullpen, reading pitches out of the hand, etc.
If you're a baseball fan and know how the game of baseball is, then you'll find endless enjoyment.

FYI last yr u had to ve registered online w/ MLB the show for 2 weeks before u could start/join leagues

That actually wouldn't be terrible. It would give everyone time to get used to the online play and let anyone new guys get their feet wet.
