I've beaten him a few times on a real NES but never on an emulator. Can't get past Soda Popinski on an emulator.

You can play Mike Tyson's Punchout today and it's still more pure fun than probably 90% of modern day releases.

This was the bane of my existence as an 8 year old.

I always found Mr. Sandman harder than Super Macho Man.

Macho was a case of learning the timing and figuring out how many super punches he would throw.
Sandman was a pain in the arse because he required you to go high then start doing body blows to follow it up. Muscle memory made it hard to do that instinctively.

When I was 13 or so I'd go stay with my brother at college when I had some days off school. The guys in the dorm he was staying at had a Nintendo in one of the rooms and they were all taking turns trying to beat Tyson and none of them could. Of course being 13 and having far more time on my hands than they did, I already knew the tricks to beating him. So finally I got a chance to play him. When I beat him all the guys in the dorm went nuts. I was the king shite in that place for that night.
It's a pretty lame story but being 13 and having all those college guys acting like I was the coolest kid ever just stuck with me all these years. It's one of my fondest memories of my brother and myself. (It also helped that these college guys all had a stack of playboys damn near taller than me).

So how is it having several dozen kids now? Because every woman within a 2 mile radius must have been instantly impregnated when that happened

It took me forever to learn how to time that Bald Bull charge. Then Super Macho Man was tough as shite with that spin punch.
