Although Carson hates everything, I tend to agree with him here. The only way InFamous wins is if there is zero competition. I'm not saying it wasn't a great game (I have no idea since I haven't played it), but the public opinion factor is not there at the scale which would put it in that category.
If you look back at the winners from the award shows, most choices were pretty obvious, barring a few unique picks that made no sense.

The offerings up until now have been good but not great. Just from what I've played so far this year, Tropico 5 is my temporary GOTY. Things will ramp up this fall for sure though, won't be any competition from games released from the first half of the year

I still haven't purchased any PS4 games yet. 
I've bought a few indies, but the only PS4 game I've played so far was Killzone (horrible story, good graphics) and I borrowed that from a friend.
They need to get around to releasing a good RPG.

I have a feeling it'll go to a games released in the fall, as it does most years, so I'd lean towards Destiny.
