Announced today at the Keynote. Didnt think they would do that but excited to see where this leads to.

Building an iPhone game is very very different from what people normally say, which is "Nintendo should stop making their own consoles and just become third party."
And this game doesn't look particularly innovative, which is exactly the problem with them going down that path anyways.
It isn't good news, it isn't bad news, nor does it prove the idea that Nintendo needs to continue making hardware wrong.

It's going to be downloaded a frick ton and going to make a lot of money through micro transactions. Pokemon GO wasn't innovative, just a reskinned Ingress with less features and people creamed their pants for it because Pokemon. It's Mario, people will play the shite out of it on the toilet and the istore is a proven money printing machine. Pretty much a no lose situation for Nintendo to make the jump. Now I want a Zelda on iOS devices that is not a reskinned FarmVille or some other BS game like they did to Temple Run, lol.
