Ehhh I'm not sure, I thought I read that things they added to the one/ps4 aren't in the 360/ps4 versions.

On the "next-gen" 15 is a huge step up IMO from Madden 25.

I do agree with that.

Is this similar to the NCAA games where you could lock in as a defensive player and get their point of view?

Franchise is broken right now stat/progression wise so hopefully they patch that. People like Brees and Manning throwing 15 TD's. Brady out of league in one year. Etcetera.

And thus we must wait in disappointment another year.

2k had a fantastic single player create a player mode over 12 years ago that EA has either never cared to or never been able to come anywhere near replicating

2k2 and madden were neck and neck imo, I preferred madden on ps2.

but without competition madden has sucked for years

however, I'm excited for this years madden...like I was when I first saw how madden looked on ps2...shiny helmets?! zo my gods! They have faces!

Gameplay is fun but franchise is broken. They've put all their money into MUT.

everything I've heard that this is next gen madden

I don't feel like I ever got that wow experience with the last generation and thus didn't really play madden

madden 2003 with M. Faulk on the cover was the best and last great madden title

I loved the camp challenges, I could have an impact on defense...if I was good enough I could block kicks...the difficulty settings were appropriate...I just loved that game.

everything since that title has been a total mail in effort...they really have no creative minds over there...qb vision? hit stick? everything they've done has been lame

however, I think the new stuff in this madden is a real improvement and the graphics look sick

I don't know how creative you can be in 1 year. You are very limited with experimentation.

you can make positive incremental changes every year that contribute to a better experience...right now its just a bag of shite, and people still buy it every year.

the one with Vick on the cover was my favorite one gameplay wise. The offense was very fun. No defensive gimmicks. The season stats actually came out relatively well in Franchise/Owner mode.

And it had that "I ain't never scared" song that got stuck in my head. I think it also had the Roots and Outkast on there as well.

well yes, it looks like this year is awesome, but for about 10 years it has been gimmicks without addressing any of the fundamental problems or providing anything that is a staple.

I cannot help but get a gaming boner looking at this one, and I'm picking it up today. My wife leaves for boston for the weekend today and I'm going to do some madden crunching

didn't that one remove the training camp feature from the previous year...why did they get rid of that...it was nintendoish.

I could spend hours just trying to avoid those yellow balls completing the pocket challenge. And the cornerback drills were awesome too...and doing that side stuff made the actual games more fun because I really had been to training camp

no it was on there.

just googled. Quite the opposite, it was the first one with the training camp in Franchise mode.

Pocket Presence- QB: Here, your goal is to throw the ball to each target
without getting hit by the tennis balls, which represent sacks. You get a
bonus if you throw several complete passes in a row.

I didn't play training camp in franchise...that was the year I went off to boot camp...I think I played that game once for an hour at a friends house.

so 03 and 04, then 05 was ray lewis and the truck stick...crap, then 06 mcnaab qb vision, then 07 alexander which looked terrible on next gen and it was just truck stick for RBs, then 08 VY...I don't remember anything specific about that game except that everyone was super slim...09 was fitz/polamalu don't remember anything about that one...10 was drew brees, and I was pumped for the pregame chant that was underwhelming but they did add stadium atmosphere music. 11, 12, 13, 25...didn't play once, but I did buy the 25 for the direct tv...purely for fantasy, I lived in NOLA and could watch the saints

the coaching career, connected franchise, all of that, I never cared...madden is basically NFL action figures for me, they never addressed the actual in game issues...one year they touted new receiver animations another one gang tackles, but it was the same shite...

This year, the defensive camera, Dline moves, etc...look like they greatly add to the in game experience, next gen graphics (they look amazing), little details like scuffed helmets, jarred helmets, jersey wrinkles...etc.

Oh my god, I'm trying to remember which QB I used that year. The QB vision cone was like a laser it was so narrow

I loved QB vision. If you were good with it, there was no such thing as man coverage.
