Madden and lag (Xbox One)

Can someone tell me if this is something new or some shite? I've faced 3 different opponents and the game runs fine up until I'm driving to make a comeback or what not. The game keeps freezing and I don't know if this is something w/ my internet or it's my opponents doing something that is causing it. Anyone have any insight?

It's rubber banding.
Madden has it worked into the game's algorythym that anytime someone is making a comeback, they FAIL!! Your QB is 20/23 passing but then throws two errant passes, the latter being pick 6'd. It works both way. When you have a lead, your opponent throws a short dig, Amendola then breaks five tackles then scampers 50 yards for the TD.

Definitely a thing. It's bullshite. They do it on NBA live as well. The game sucks.
