I've been on the fence if I wanted to buy it or not. At least I get a few days to try it out first.

I think the mechanics in this year are better than previous years, and the graphics look great on the the Frostbite engine. At the end of the day, its still just madden. If you're a big sports gamer its worth it. I bought it, but haven't played much since Destiny came out right after it. I'll pick it up again some, and grind out my MUT though.

Correct. It’s the exact same game as last year with an update to the graphics engine.

Franchise mode on pc would be legit other than that I have no desire to own it

You can still buy 2008 (last PC version). There's a site called Football Idiot where you can get free programs to hack Madden. That lets you import real draft classes, swap out real teams for custom teams, or even play on smurf turf. Also a lot of pre-made custom teams and leagues.

Yea I am too. Right after I posted on here thanking for the heads up, the game told me I could pick up where I left off if I buy the game.
It's a full game trial, EA can't even give a free sample of their game honestly. Don't call it a full trial if I can't play it fully.

It’s a decent game that looks good, plays good, but the fine details are bad. Like run game is so OP. You can run inside zone out of the gun with a sub par OL and having crazy success. Also mobile QBs are cheesy (cheese = cheat, glitch, easy to abuse, etc) again. I get they were sluggish in M17 but it forced people to have to play the game right. By right I mean, sit in the picket and throw the ball, and if everyone is covered, then scramble. Now you can scramble with any Shmuk and get big yards.
Also if you’re thinking about the GOAT package sale on PSN ($53.99 instead of $79.99) I’d pass. The GOATs are 85 ovr and need to be upgraded. They haven’t had any challenges to upgrade the GOATs since shortly after the game launched (20 days). And then it was kinda a grind. But for $$$ you could’ve bought packs to upgrade them
in short they’re going to be obsolete soon. They’re releasing more and more high 80 and 90 overall players.
It’s a solid game and if you skipped M17 I’d suggest buying it. Otherwise, wait till next year. This is coming from a diehard Madden fan who runs a 32 user league.

Yeah, to tell the truth I was stoked for this game and when it first dropped, I really liked it. However, it's definitely worn on me and like others have said, the running game is ridiculous. I have the 87 overall Gauntlet trophy Adrian Peterson and there's no point to doing anything else unless conditions call for otherwise. He is averaging like 6-8 yards a pop and if you do the HB Inside out of the Shotgun, there's no stopping it.
