Madden 15 on 360. Running the ball

How the crap do you run the ball? I'm terrible at running the ball. Playing on all madden with the browns. Anyone got a to to play?

Never, ever run the designed play. Look, it sounds crazy, but the computer for whatever reason just kind of knows the general direction you're going. It's all for show.
Run the complete opposite direction and you'll gain some mega-yards.
Jet sweep right? Run that bitch up the middle
HB Dive? Run it to the Left.

Sweet thank you. Speed only helps my cause?

I average over 5 ypc with the Saints. Run out of the gun/pistol with bunch sets. Power I and draw plays mainly.
Lay off the sprint button until your lead blockers get set up.
I'll get stuffed, but also will get 10+ yard runs routinely

I have it for PS4, but this is huge. Let the play develop before hitting the sprint.

Prob the best advice you will get. I was so accustomed to keeping my finger on the sprint button in previous maddens, but once I started waiting until I hit the hole to sprint, it's like night and day.

hitting sprint is a built in trigger. It causes the oline to release all their blocks and move upfield. If you hit it behind the line they all release the dline and linebakers. You have to get past them first.

My biggest problem is keeping the CPU QB from completing 90% of his passes.
Seriously, every game the CPU is 21/25 with 1 INTs and 2 PBUs and 1 ball just barely squirts out to avoid sack. They never seem to miss a throw. Hell, I was playing the Cowboys and injured Romo and fricking Weeden went 10/10 on me the rest of the way.
On the flip side, I am averaging about 10 sacks a game because the CPU doesn't seem to ever throw off their back foot and will tuck it and run if their reads are covered instead of throwing in traffic.
It gets to a point where I have to drop Junior Galette in coverage the whole second half so he doesn't average 5 sacks a game.

i know on ps4 the L2 button is key.. hold L2 before the play starts and keep holding it until you find the hole. then release and sprint. Also dont try to juke while holding l2, release it first. But L2 is the key

what does holding it before the play starts do?

It kind of puts you in a stutter step mode that makes your movements when released like a burst
Think of a runningback patiently looking for the hole and then exploding through

My go to run is twin tight ends, out of singleback.
(Not sure what the actual formation is called)
But it's a weak side counter, if the defense is in man I run it weakside, if the defense is in zone I flip the play to run it strongside to the tight ends.
