I'm looking for something new to play. I've Been playing mlb and overwatch the most lately. I don't really know what I'm looking for. State of decay seems pretty fun.
I've considered dark souls.
And I've looked a couple times at the watcher 3.
I'm looking for something pretty casual I can play after work and school and whatnot.

What game would you choose (doesn't have to be those 3) and why?

Other than casual what are you in the mood for? Witcher is a big investment if you just want casual.

Casual?...Don't go Witcher or Dark Souls.

Fallout 4 would fit you, if you haven't played it yet.

I don't know what to play either. Nothing exciting comes out until February for me.

Overwatch

It's become the only game I play lately. I just don't have all the free time that I used to have. I can easily get 2-3 games in a short amount of time, and that's usually good enough for me.

Overwatch, DOOM, Rocket League..

Games like Witcher and Souls are a waste of time if you're not willing to invest.

I also wouldn't call FO games casual. They are huge time stinks.

I've considered doom but I don't know much about it really.

I think I'm in this funk cause there's nothing appealing out right now. I don't mind sinking my time into something if it's amazing. But idk. I love rocket league fwiw.

I think Witcher 3 is pretty casual on the default difficulty. It's much more playable than Witcher 2, and the auto-potion refill upon rest is a huge boon to casual play.

It's also really easy to out level content if you do side quests and complete the points of interest on the map. It does require a time commitment though. It's a 30-50 hour game without even considering the DLC.

For me, Fallout 4 was much harder. I was dieing repeatedly in the first 45 minutes of the game.

It is somewhat far afield from your wheelhouse, just based on your OP, but I just got Prison Architect. It looks casual on the surface, but it is turning into a time sink. I can recommend it, though, because you can play it in bite-sized chunks if you choose. You may want to invest more time later, though. There is also a massive user base, tons of videos (although they quickly get dated because of version changes - reminds me of Kerbal in that respect).

The Handsome Collection for Borderlands is on sale on PSN if you have a PS4.

Includes:

Borderlands 2 and all the DLC
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and all the DLC

$15

If you haven't played any of it this is a great value. And the game is not at all serious. It is challenging and all that and can become a time sink, but it can also be played very casually.

I've strongly considered this. I've heard a lot about it on PC but not much on console. Is there escape mode and stuff on console? Just how does it compare in general??

Fwiw, I looked into it, and I decided to get prison architect. Played it for a while. It's more streamlined than I thought it would be. Good purchase.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I intended to get it on the Steam sale, but missed it. I ended up getting it later last week at "full" price. I already have 30 or so hours in it. I'm playing it on PC, so I can't answer your earlier questions about console differences. It looks like a game that should translate fairly easily to console, though.

It's very streamlined. They don't have escape mode, sadly.

I do like the ability to build "quick rooms" for cells and offices and other starter things. That's a nice addition.
