You grounded folks are masochists.
I don't see how it is possible to complete the David / Ellie zombie bit or the burning restaurant.
I'm having fun on normal +.
Much easier to zip through areas now that I know what I'm doing. That extra clip size makes a huge difference.
I may play hard one day, but I wouldn't find grounded remotely enjoyable.

great game, and i'm in the crowd of "frick playing on grounded"
i have beat all the dark souls games, but some games are actually less engaging on harder difficulties because they slow the story down too much seeing the same cutscenes 20 times in a row and you end up skipping through them. the last of us is in that category for me
one of my top 3 favorite games of all time, but thats because of the story and not the gunplay

I'm about 3 hours in. The opening is intense man. Wow. Love it so far. I'm playing normal, and just enjoying the story.

The game had me on edge from start to finish.

I will finish up my first play through this week. I'm getting close to the bridge in Pittsburgh. The part in the basement

A lot of it's taking advantage of enemy pathing and spawn placements. It's usually the toughest when it's being the most videogamey - the financial district is the worst offender. I hope that do away with that shite in 2. That and pace the action a little better.

First time through that was a pain in the arse until I learned to just hide behind a counter and choke everyone out.
Frontal assault got me killed several attempts before I went stealth. Problem is it reloaded on death with everyone already pissed at the molotov I tossed at them.
Second playthrough and I waltzed through since I knew stealth was the best option from the get go.
I don't like the fact I can't bump the difficulty in game plus. It is a bit too easy on normal now that I have maxed clips and know what to expect from each situation and know when I need to conserve cocktails and nail bombs for those floaters.

Plus allows you to keep the skills you've upgraded and weapons upgrades. You still have to find the weapons again, but any skill or weapons upgrade is still done.
Gives you the ability to max out all skills and weapons upgrades.
Once you know what to do, you can roll through the game a lot faster. Lots of the zombies can just be avoided.
My second play through probably took half the time as the first.

I beat it and honestly couldn't tell you. Even less supplies, one hit kills and increased enemy awareness - - maybe. Clickers are fricking obnoxious.

Someone smashed his record by 7 or 8 minutes.
