Playing through Rainbow Curse and decided to collect all the figurines. (essentially trophies like in Smash Bros)

Assumed all I had to do was gold medal all the levels and collect all treasure chest but no, I have to also beat the challenge stages. Ok, no big deal (even though they are a pain in the arse) but then I find out I can't unlock them all unless I go and beat all the bosses w/o ever getting hit.

For a series that always gets tagged w/being too easy this bastard is really making me work for the 100%.

Meanwhile this arse keeps dancing like it ain't no thang.

lol I love Kirby games like Kirbys adventure
and Kirbys dream land games.
A decent amount of toughness.

Is Rainbow Curse good?

I heard its a beautiful game but you have to constantly look at the gamepad and it takes away from the experience.

I like it quite a bit but it doesn't play like a traditional platforming Kirby game. It plays like the 2005 DS title Kirby: Canvas Curse where you only use the stylus to play. If you liked that game, you should like this. If you didn't you should probably pass. It took me a little getting used to control wise but after a while it became fairly natural to do. The only thing I wish was different would be the ability to activate my spin dash with a button instead of tapping Kirby but it's not a deal breaker for me.

It's true as player one you can't really look at the TV as you play (unless you just have sick skills knowing where you are on the gamepad) and will spend most of your time looking at the game pad. That doesn't bother me much though I could see how it would annoy some gamers. One plus with having to look at the screen is it's the perfect game to do off TV play with while somebody else is watching a show.

It is very pretty game overall. The clay style graphics look great and really fit well with Kirby's vibe. There is definitely a cute overload going on so it's perfect for playing with kids but might illicit groans from dudes who are too cool for school.

Overall I'm glad I bought it and think it's a worthy entry into the Kirby series but do recognize that some will be put off by the stylus only controls and having to look at the game pad.

Holy frick, Hooplagoon can lick my god damn balls.

Getting a perfect on all the bosses is way harder than I thought it would be.

Kirbys Dream Land for OGB and Nightmare in Dream Land for GBA both had so much replay value. Amazing games.
