Just picked up 2 PS4 games. What to expect?

I had an amazon gift card so I just picked up Rise of Tomb Raider (20 year edition) and Metal Gear Solid V: Definitive Edition. I skimmed some reviews (all of which were really good) and went with these two. What should I expect from these two games? I've never played any of the previous games in either series.

Both great games imo. Start with tomb raider bc metal gear is crazy long, but very good.
