It's going to be so hard to choose my main weapon in fallout 4.

Yes, I like to have a weapon I stick with. While they all have situational use, I always liked my trusty 9 mill Maria. I like having a weapon that defines my character. I like it to fit. You won't see a guy with incredible intelligence wielding a baseball bat with barbed wire.

Pretty much this, with a lot of sneak. Whichever rifle packs the most punch and a shotty or heavy hand gun depending on just how close quarters it really is.

Hunting/Sniper with my 2nd being a silenced pistol. I prefer range, but if I have to get close, I'd rather drop you without letting you know I'm here.
