Looking at buying this from somebody?
I have no knowledge on whether it is good or not. Please help me.

Also, what would you pay for this? Please be honest and not say 100$.

My goal: I want to be able to play games (such as Starcraft 2) on full graphics. Nothing crazy. But something that still needs to be good.

Specs:
AMD Radeon 5850 graphics card
CPU 3.2 ghz
12 GB ram corsair dominator ddr3
Seagate barricuda 500 GB hard drive
Asus motherboard (don't know specific model- is this important?)
Intel i5 4670R CPU
Liquid cooled
Custom cooler master case with adjustable LEDs
System temperature diagnostics screen
5 fans

How much would you pay?
Is this good? Really good?

All help is much appreciated! Thanks guys!

It's not. I have been texting the guy. And will meet him tomorrow if everything checks out from this thread and a friend of mine.

I dont think you need to have that bad boy liquid cooled.

Id offer him 500 for it.

It already is (I know the liquid needs to be changed every 3-4 years). Looks like a plus to me.

With that said, how much is a fair price in your opinion?

ETA:
Thanks.

When I mean up to date I just see things you would be paying for that you don't need like water cooling and I also see that 5850.

Depending on which Asus that is it and the CPU look good.

Just seems like you could allocate the money elsewhere that would be more beneficial if you build it yourself.

How much is he asking?

He started at 500$. I said 400$.

He said 450$ with mouse and keyboard.

Would this run Starcraft 2 on full graphics no lag?

Does he have time on it or did he just build it to sell?

He built it last year.

No longer uses it.

ETA:
Said he would wipe it clean for me which is a plus (since Idk how to do that lol).

If that is even important.

I don't know how demanding of a game Starcraft is but that's a 2-3 year old vid card.

Eventually you will want to graduate to games other than sc2, right?

Im guessing you have a monitor?

Yes I have a monitor.
And possibly. I used to be good at Sc2 and just miss playing it. My computer I used was mom's and it no longer is alive lol.

Stout-
is there truth to this article: LINK

It says the 5850 graphics card is just as good (suggests it runs better) compared to the newer ones.

Truth? No? Did I read it wrong?

At the same clock speeds. The newer cards have higher clock speeds at stock though so at stock they will outperform it and you still have room to OC them more beyond that. See the link for example.

LINK

In your link it looks like on games like Batman it was way behind the 6850 and 7850.

$450 for that PC doesn't seem too bad if you just want something fast and you can upgrade the GPU later.

It is better than the iBuyPower crap you are going to find at WalMart or BestBuy prebuilt.

Still not sure about the demands of Starcraft though.

I would wait and see if ILikeLSUToo responds. He is pretty good with Intel builds.
