I know it's only $20 a year, so it's not a cost issue. Are there any games on there worth playing for reasons beyond mere nostalgia?

Unless you just have a deep desire to replay DK Country or some of the OG Mario or Zelda games, I wouldn’t bother. I had it for a year and they just don’t add enough games often enough to keep it fresh. There is a decent size library for the NES and SNES (20+ for each) but most of them I’m not very familiar with.

Nintendo should really be focusing getting more N64 ports over to the switch.

Depends on tastes.

Tons of old NES and SNES games, including “special” versions where you start late in the game or all powered up already.

Competitive multiplayer built in with Tetris 99 and Super Mario 99 (shutting down later this month).

Occasionally some other stuff gets added too.

If you aren’t a huge retro gamer, you probably won’t get a lot out of it.

What I like about it, is that you can rewind retro games if you die. There are some levels of games where I get frustrated having to start all the way back at the beginning every time. When I get hit by a fireball in Mario it’s nice to be able to immediately go back 10sec and try again.

Do we know if they will ever have N64 games available?

There are a few. Mario 64 got released in a pack, pretty sure there are a couple of Turok games from the 64, the Star Wars Pod Racer game.

I don’t know if the issue is licensing or what but if Ocarina of Time or Starfox ever make it over I’ll never go outside again

No announcements yet.

They can clearly do it, though, since Mario64, Sunshine, and Galaxy got done on the hardware.

With it only being $20 a year it's hard to say it's not. The Mario 35th Anniversary game they released for free is pretty legit

Well they kind of already did that but charged $60 for it . But all jokes aside, I totally agree. Same with GameCube, GBA, etc.

It's worth it for the cloud saves.

Yes, especially if you're a slacker like me and never finished Zelda II.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they move to adding N64 games

This shite makes no sense to me. It's the best thing they've done with Mari in years and they're going to wipe it out.

I feel the same about their idiotic stance on Super Mario 3D All-Stars Collection being a limited release even in digital format.
