Is it at least better than a 360 or PS3?

Excuse my ignorance, but I know NOTHING about gaming systems.

Bought my wife one recently she love Mario games. What's cool is I can play gta 5 on the Xbox while she plays Mario on the wii u on the same tv because she can play with the wii pad that has a screen on it.

I like Mario games, but I want to try more "serious" games too.

The graphics are on par with the 360 and ps3. They are not as good as the new consoles will be though. It just depends on what you want really.

350 hours into Monster Hunter says it is worth it. Will only get better when Zelda/Smash Bros/Mario Kart/etc come out.

I don't think so. It will be, but isn't there yet.

With the current library of games it has, it's not worth it at all. Eventually? Yeah. After they release a new Zelda/Smash Bros./Mario Kart it will be fun to have.

Oh. They don't have a lot of games? They don't have the same cartridges as the older Wii?

If you pick up the new Wii U bundle with The Legend Of Zelda: The Windwaker you can't lose.

Just wait until some of their AAA games come out. I don't think it's worth it at the moment.

Yes and don't let the anti-Nintendo/"We only want FPSers" tell you otherwise.

First person shooter. I recommend looking into different games and what you want to play. Everyone can tell you their opinion but that doesn't mean it will apply to you.

Even the biggest Nintendo fanboy can't possible spin the Wii U's lineup in a positive way.

Or you could get a gamecube copy of Windwaker for 1/10 of the price.
