is 2k17 worth full price if I have 16?

Yes. I actually don't mind buying VC because I think the effort they put in to this game is worth more than $60.

The game is much better than 16. The flow of the game and players are better. Difficulties are better. I think it's great. But I also see people on twitter saying it sucks. So it's my opinion.

I haven't played it yet and I was a big fan of 2k16. Played a ton of games. I read in 2k17 they did away with hitting the turbo/sprint button up and down the court for the full duration of the game. If it works as it sounds, a lot of the shitty users who only knew how to exploit the break are going to be TERRIBLE at 2k17. Makes me happy

You quite literally HAD to do that paired with an assist and post move for almost every score on the myteam challenges to keep up with the point requirements to advance.
Hopefully they backed off on those requirements a bit and let you get rewarded for playing good basketball.
Think I'll be buying it this weekend. Been trying to decide between myteam and MUT on madden. The addition of myplayer probably makes 2k the winner.

I remember reading/hearing that you had to use the analog stick to aim your shots, but I have yet to see that this year. So I don't know if it was patched, or if it was scrapped all together.

it's certainly miles better than 2k16 just because of the MyPlayer story alone.
My early on complaints so far:
- Attribute Caps. I complained a lot about everyone in MyPlayer and ThePark being able to make these LBJ Demi-Gods who were nearly 7' tall, with maxed out handles, and maxed out range. But they went overboard trying to correct this. Now if you are a SharpShooter, you can't play Defense and aren't extremely athletic. If you are a big man who's a defensive stopper, you have no post game. And a lot of people haven't put 2 and 2 together on this yet, but Justice Young will end up having a higher overall than your MyPlayer, because he's not capped....you are.
Practices. I like the fact that VC isn't just handed out and you actually have to grind for a few atrributes: stamina, shot iq, free throw rating, etc. But it's broken. You can work for those +1 in the practices all you want, but they aren't permanent and you go right back to your original rating for those attributes after 1 game. So now, the only point of the practices is to grind for the overall attribute cap upgrades. which everyone is just cheesing by doing the vertical jump 2x and quitting out.
I'm hoping they fix my second complaint, it has to be a glitch they didn't realize. If not, we are all stuck with that 66 free throw rating for our entire careers.

My complaints about 16 were myplayer and franchise mode centered.
They actually made both of those features TOO in depth. I would play 2k11-2k14 franchises and crush 20 seasons in a day. You could get more in depth with it if you wanted to, though. Now, it takes fricking forever to get through a season which I'm sure people like, but you can't binge a frick ton of seasons like before. Really annoying.

they had to do it for online balancing. i guess the only way around it is to play a MyGM and create ur own player so he wont be useable online. i'm fine with the change tho, because 90% of people only do their mycareer to build VC for online..
it was absolutely ridiculous last year to build up a Center with max defense and athleticism and watch as 5'6 guys were completely unguardable by dunking or shooting 3s on u after they dribble a circle around u. now they cant be maxed in 3's, dunking, and athleticism at least

Gameplay is much better. Korver will now run to the three point line now to get open shots, instead of running towards a crowded lane.

People again do nothing but shoot 3s on this game. I hate online vs matchups on this game. The only thing worth playong is My Park or my career or pro am.
