All of section 5 cleared. Now I just have to go back and finish 1. I like how the nexus is changing as I clear areas.

2-2 and 2-3 down. Those were not that fun. Flame lurker fight was good though. Took some a few deaths to figure it out. Not easy with a Dagger!

I didn't really get it. Kinda lucked my way through it after dying a lot. That first hallway is scary as shite though.

Consuming them is a waste. Some of the souls have multiple options so get a wiki and see how you want to use each one.
Question for jombie, at what point is the point of no return for doing side stuff? If I want to go collect rings and weapons before the end when do I need to do that?

Yep! The characters each say different things, and who you choose to rescue has a direct impact on the happenings in the Nexus. I really liked it a lot.

Pretty certain the next area's boss is the final boss and after that point, you can no longer explore. You're pretty much at the end, if you don't wanna NG+, then I recommend finishing up.

Just finished 5-1. Actually enjoyed that one somewhat.

5-1 isn't too bad. 5-2 sucks though. It wasn't that hard, just annoying.
