I love CDPR but they can suck a dck with Cyberpunk 2077 vaporware based on when announced

The game trailer released and we were ready to buy day one, then they went dark and have stayed that way for 5 years.

It was announced too soon for sure but CDPR has not screwed the pooch yet on a game so Ill cut them some slack.

Dev team with a great track record won't release a date for a game we know they're making and people bitch knowing the wait will 100% lead to a better game. It's Projekt Red my dudes. Not the tards responsible for Duke Nuke'em.
ETA: On a more serious note, it's worth pointing out that when they released the trailer for this game, they were also still making Witcher 3. I don't know the specifics behind how they have allocated their devs, but that could be a big reason in why development of the game has taken so long.

W3 got a release date, based on that they will release the game 10 years after announcing since W3 was delayed rightfully so but it took 3 years to release W3.

It's like EQ for me, I play for a month or so and then realize why it wasn't long lasting fun. I mostly see what I can solo or three box.

I found out that once I got all the mogs I wanted, I ran out of stuff I really felt like doing. I guess there's always something for me to do at least once a week since I'm a mount whore but I feel you. I'll go on insane spurts then won't touch the game for months.

I don't have any reason to doubt Cyberpunk 2077's eventual release, but Witcher 3 was the first game this studio ever developed that could ever be considered "great" from a gameplay standpoint. The first two Witcher games were heavily flawed (the second moreso than the first).

Everyone knew that this shite wouldn't be coming out for a very long time. They were still working on The Witcher at that point and Cyberpunk wouldn't start full development until after that was finished. Then it would probably be a handful of years before it was finished.
The earliest I'd expect this game is 2020. I thought everyone knew this.

That trailer was basically a hiring ad and they were open about that. It wasn't in full development then and they didn't say it was. It's better than putting a date on something knowing deadlines won't be met.
