I cant hook up my ps3 to my tv

I have an Olvia tv. Ive plugged the hdmi cord and power cord in but it just doesnt work. I also play my ps4 on this tv so the hdmi plug is fine. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

You probably need to reset the PS3. While the system is off press and hold down the power button until you get a second beep. That should reset it to work w/the cables you are using. Not sure why it happens but it's pretty annoying.

yeah, if ps4 is workin it has to be what this guy said or the ps3 is just dead

If your tv has a resolution cap (e.g. 1080i or 720p), you'll need to do a hard reset for the PS3. It's a resolution issue most likely. The PS3 can not auto detect this like the PS4 can.
