I don't really believe in future proofing PCs. If u spend $600 now and use it for 3 years you can spend another $600 then and get a pc that is much faster than a $1200 PC is now

I respect that. But is the OP going to only boot this machine, play Diablo 3 and shut it down ? Will it never play another game in the near future ?

I'm sure he will be able to run any games that come out for the next few years with that processor. GPUs are much more important than CPUs for gaming

Unless he wants to run multiple games at the same time, he should be fine for the next few years ;)

For anyone questioning their build, check out this article. It actually does a good job of explaning mid range and high end PCs, and give a part list.

Couldn't tell you the last disc I put in my PC. If I didn't already have one laying around I would not have put one in my new rig.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate on a USB Drive. Downloaded all the drivers I needed and put them on the same USB drive before I built my new one.

Booted off the USB drive and was staring at the Windows desktop in under 9 minutes.

Microsoft has a free tool to put Windows 7 on a USB drive.

True. Didn't think of it that way.

Newegg and parts manufacturers must be fapping nonstop due to the Diablo III release

Seriously. I wanted to by the sapphire 6750 graphic card for 170 but new egg sold out and amazon price shot up from 170 to 190 overnight.

im not super impressed at their cheap build on the surface.
$190 for a sandy bridge i5 yet only 4 gigs of 1333mhz ram? seems like a bottle neck waiting to happen.

I think you would be much better off with a phenom II x4 and apply those savings to 8 gigs of faster ram.

doesn't seem to be a gamer build, just a cheap PC build.. generally on a gaming build u wanna spend more on the graphics card than the processor. that $109 GPU is pretty weak for a gaming build
