I don't want to get banned. They're all nude

Please tell me you're not surprised.

Not really. Just never knew it was something people did. Figured it was an outlier.

Well he was talking about /r/gonewild I thought.
But there have been girls that flashed on Twitch before. They usually get recorded and have their lives ruined though as well as getting banned

But other than that I just never saw the appeal in watching someone else play video games, let alone give them money for it, but more power to those who actually make a living doing it. Maybe I'm just not watching the right people.
You probably just haven't found the right people.
The idea of watching people game isn't really all that different than watching sports.
Personally I love watching elite Counterstrike and Smash Bros players b/c I learn new and better ways to play.

Exactly. I watch Let's Plays on YouTube and I remember the first time I ever watched any videos like that. It was ProtonJon playing one of those modded Super Mario World games and it was hilarious to just watch him fail time after time and get so pissed off. Then I found more people playing those games then after that I started watching people play Zelda or old Pokemon games. The first LPer I subscribed to and watched on a regular basis was Chuggaaconroy. Guy was amazing at Mario Sunshine and Pokemon FireRed. His commentary and video gaming choices have greatly diminished since then but he's still ok.
Then I found out about Twitch and have been on it watching people do speed runs of Super Mario Sunshine or playing The SIms. You really just have to find the people you like to listen to commentate. Once you do, it's like watching any other television show IMO

i watch games, because my pc will not play them, or i have no interest in buying, but curious how it is.
i wont buy h1z1, but i find it to be entertaining in background, streaming from the 360, while i do shite on the computer.
And the best part about the haters, they will donate, many times to hate on you. It's like, thanx dummy, keep hating and keep donating.

quote:This. Watching certain games played at an extremely high level is pretty entertaining. It's no different than sports in that aspect. There's a reason you aren't gonna get viewers just casually playing games unless you're one hell of an entertainer. You have to be at the very least above average at the game you're playing. I don't get shite for viewers playing League because I'm just average, but when I stream Osu I get a much larger turnout.

Also, you will have derelicts who start donate war'ing
they will try to out donate each other, just a few minutes ago, i watched one on liriks stream.
started at 100, then 150, then 200, then 250, next guy will go to 300. so, thats almost a K, because people are idiots, and that is donations, which means no cut to twitch, sub money is split with twitch.
watched 2 morons go to 500 one day on another stream. so he got 500 from 1, 450 from the other.

Does anyone wonder if its fake. The donations I mean. Some of it seems to far fetched. I saw a mlb the show guy make 2400 on donations. I mean subs are obviously real but 1200 to some random dude. I think its like priming the jar when playing piano for tips. Put a five in to get to money rolling.
Posted on 2/21/15 at 6:01 pm to jeffturnright
Some is probably faked, but you don't prime the jar with $1200.
Posted on 2/21/15 at 6:01 pm to jeffturnright
I'm sure fake donations have happened, but you'd be surprised how many people are willing to financially support their favorite streamers.
WubWoofWolf needed $200 for a new microphone and set up a donation goal. He hit the goal in one stream.

Yes the streamers talk about "chargebacks" often. Some of the big donations are fake for sure. Well fake as in the donor charges back or canceled the donation.
I don't think they are fake like you are inferring. Maybe tho, who knows
a great way to get your name blacklisted in the community and make everyone hate you

Is Summit a chick? If I sent that girl a girl that much money, I better be getting nudes on demand or sex.
Posted on 2/21/15 at 7:26 pm to Henry Jones Jr
no, he's a dooooshy looking dude who streams.

There are a few attractive dudes who have a massive frick ton of subscribers that I've seen. I still think that's one reason PewdiePie is so famous. He's an attractive dude with an accent. Girl gamers will go nuts and send money to people like that.
