Grand Theft Auto V" has become one of the must lucrative video game products for both Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games. According to a report from Gamespot, the companies are set to make announcements "soon" and it is highly speculated that this may refer to "Red Dead Redemption 2" or "GTA VI."
"Rockstar Games is of course hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon," explained parent company Take-Two as part of their official fiscal report for the year. Due to the statement, it is expected that Rockstar Games will unveil their new games during this year's E3, which will be held in June.
According to the report, there are no Rockstar Games listed in Take-Two's financial report for the fiscal year, which ends in April 2017. This indicates that the games Rockstar will be unveiling soon won't be coming out until after April 2017. The game's release may even be delayed beyond that, to late 2017 or early 2018.
While there is a strong possibility that the new game will be a brand-new IP or "GTA VI" given that the fifth "GTA" title launched as far back as 2013, Gamespot reveals that the new game the company is working on is likely going to be "Red Dead Redemption 2."
It was previously reported that an alleged map for "Red Dead Redemption 2" had been leaked online, giving further evidence that the new game may not be "Grand Theft Auto VI." However, given that no official statement has yet been given by either company, anything is still possible at this point.
Should "Grand Theft Auto VI" be the new game in development, it is likely going to be the biggest game in the franchise as it is going to be built from the bottom-up for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One instead of being an upgraded port from the PS3 and Xbox 360 era the way "GTA V" was.

RDR before GTA. GTA needs another 500 years on their schedule.

However, the report points out that the developers are set on making a big announcement this coming E3, which indicates a new single player DLC that ties into the main campaign's story is set to be released.
According to the report, one of the most prevalent rumors is that the story DLC may be football-centric, indicating that the player might be able to take control of a brand-new character that could be a professional NFL player in Los Santos or at least feature a football mini-game that gamers could get into in between the game's main missions.
It is also speculated that the new DLC may introduce horse riding and casinos into the game, although Rockstar Games has yet to confirm or deny any of these rumors. It is unknown at this point if the developers are indeed set on releasing a brand new story DLC that could come with a series of new features, vehicles, locations or weapons.

Yeah that whole corner of the city is completely useless right now. Have they incorporated the prison yet?

if you've played the online portion of GTA V, you know the casino is already there and waiting

Get Red Dead out first. Wait like a few years for GTA VI. I really hope they do Hong Kong for the next one. That city is built for it.

Got to be RDR. It seems way too early for GTA 6 news, even though I wouldn't complain.
