The new free stuff out now is that 5 characters have alternate costumes. Clive, Jill, Torgul, Joshua, and Clives Chocobo all have a secondary costume. Weapons can now be changed from the design of whatever the weapon you want to use or the one with the highest stats to one youve ever had in your inventory before. They also added a new weapon that anybody can claim just like the blood sword and the one they gave for deluxe before but this one is free for everyone. It has low stats but since you can transmog sword looks now its nice to have.

As far as the 2 upcoming paid DLCS no info was given but I cant see how 1 and likely the first doesnt deal with leviathan. If you want to check them yourself all of them (costumes and weapons both are changed with the ariette stone at the hideout.)

Also in Yoshidas announcement was they are deep into having a pc version ready. According to other reporting not on the inside as Yoshi obvs lol they aim for about March or April or early June next year on PC.

ETA: The new costume, at least for clive since I just booted it up to check out his, will at least require you obtaining the black and red gear first I surmise since it is based off that.

I expected 1 DLC paid expansion. IMO the story concludes almost everything fairly well together outside of "Levitation the lost." There is a bunch of lore of Barnabas his mother where they're from and the cult that could be a fine 2nd DLC since I doubt too many players really cared about it or found it. By sheer acknowledgement these 2 are coming I think its fair to say the outliers who think Joshua didnt survive are obviously wrong, and I do hope they actually confirm Clives death. While it's obvious to me he died as the final crystal curse victim, there's still mass fighting over it.

Aside from just the above the new patch added even more new ways tailor your controller inputs to you, even more camera flexibility options, a few other things in this area I don't get much. Some balancing in the game was done I haven't tested but like 15 min and wont likely until Sunday because it is saturday maybe someone can read and clarify but it sounds like they're imposing a time cap for how long you can execute something after another move. I messed around on bit at lvl100 in the new uniforms on FF mode and the final battle for imo a few solid easily noticeable steps up in difficulty.

I am currently playing this and getting close to wrapping it up. While I have enjoyed it, it could have been SO much better.

1. World should have been a little more open and interactive. There should have been bigger towns with more lively world.
2. Battles are fun but repetitive.
3. Side quests are boring

Spoiler;
Just saw you said you haven’t finished main game: Spoilers below is what I think the 2 DLCs can do to heavily levitate the game, show fans they listened and changed, and more but it does go into a the final battle, who lives who dies, etc

I imagine they’ll build it that out and respond the repeated fan complaints. Jills and Joshua’s new alts look the best imo. As I have made it clear, Clive is 100% dead and there’s not way anyone can coherently argue otherwise; so I’m excited with what the 2 DLCs do when I only expected 1, and im99% positive it’ll be the first. Wtf happened to leviathan? As for the second. I really would like something post story for the second than say “what was the Phoenix doing for like 27 years before just sending a letter, perhaps a note in meme code letting him know hey brah didn’t kill me mate!!!! I think it’s pretty clear Joshua is the 1 sole survivor of the final battle by the grace of his brother. A cool Dlc would be what he did after that.

Legit though Clive Jill and Joshua are objectively better and the weapon style transmogrification system is sweet. Masamune for me all the time baby

9 remakes project thats half remake and half remaster has been kicked at least 18 months or 24 with FF7remake rebirth said by confirmed hands on people worth trusting are all saying Rebirth is not only Sq Enix most ambitious project ever in size and scope but in narrative balls saying the true ff7 story is barely recognizable only the skeletons of locations and vaguely same people.

I am fine with this, since I knew from the the jump playing it that is a sequel. Primarily to on the way to a smile dealing with white and black life stream signifying Aerith and Seph fighting in death. However the sudden decision to give FF16 free cosmetics and just stuff, plus two full on paid out DLCs will also take precedents over what's said to be mostly a finished ff9 porject.

I am 98% positive we get the first paid DLC around Dec or just anytime prior to Rebirth said to be Jan nor or 1st Feb week, I think theyll delay it and placate us with this
