Great game. Make sure to do the radio towers early, lots of free weapons. also the Shredder SMG is bad arse.

Things I learned in Far Cry 3:

all I need to become the ultimate badass is a full sleeve on one arm.

The first one was just fine, but it was a completely different game. Second was garbage. I felt ripped off and I payed $2 for it. I need to pick up the third, but it still hasn't come down in my price range yet.

Get Ziggy's mod off of the Far Cry 3 Nexus.

It is incredible.

Stalking people with the bow is just pure happiness. That is pretty much all I used.

Also when you get the glide suit

Far Cry 3 was OK. Very very repetitive. Not enough guns. Not enough skills. It doesn't make you choose a path/skill set, you can get everything. I got bored with it on the second island and didn't even finish the game. I just uninstalled it.

I finished it, but I tend to agree with your assessment. It was good for one play through.

A bunch cynics up in here, I wanted a damn good sandbox play through and that's what I got . endless hours of entertainment isn't quite in the 60 dollar price range.

Tell that to Skyrim and 300 hours played.

It's very rare I don't buy my games on sale from Steam, Amazon, or GOG. The last game I paid full price for was Skyrim for PC and the next one will be GTAV for PS3. Most games I buy are less than $20 and a couple years old.

The cool thing to say is that this game is so repetitive and is only good for one play.

If you mix up all the missions, it's not very repetitive. Go get a radio tower, then do a hunt, then a wanted dead mission, then part of the main mission, etc.

If the game is too repetitive, it's your own fault for doing all of one certain mission type back to back. If you go around unlocking all the radio towers at once, yea it'll be repetitive, but if you unlock a radio tower and then explore that area, it's pretty fun.

Took me 50 hours to beat the main mission with all radio towers and forts, and now I'm doing the side missions, hunts, etc. It is a very fun game.

No kidding. I played this game for a week straight without doing a single story mission at one point. Just hunting and exploring...... And gliding

Just exploring the island with a jet ski or jeep, or later when you have the wing suit, you can have tons of fun just finding relics or races or side missions.
