Game just keeps getting better and better

To our fans who’ve asked: Fallout 4 doesn’t end when the main story is over and there is no level cap. You can keep playing and leveling.

Never played a Fallout game before, but I'm pretty damn hyped for this one. Looks great so far

They tried to say it's 400 hours. I have a hard time believing that.

I would sure as hell hope not, that was one of the dumbest things about 3, which totally went against the entire Fallout theme. After all the crap they got for doing that I would think Bethesda would be smart enough to change it.

I wish borderlands would have done something like this, or continually let you play through after you win and maxed out but continued to let the game get harder.

Borderlands 2 and Pre Sequel have three playthroughs and you can go to level 70, though that's with dlc.

Anyway, there's no point playing if you've already done all the missions. Fighting random enemies for no purpose is boring to me.

Is this really surprising? I would have figured they learned a lesson after fallout 3

This game might single handily lead to me purchasing an Xbox One.

If you play on PC, it can be heavily modded. Some really great Skyrim mods allow for continued play.

400 hours

I believe it. I have 200 hours into Skyrim, and I have only done roughly 65% of all the quests available.

I probably have 1000 hours invested in Fallout 3 and Vegas. Combined, I would say I only finished 90% of all the quests available.

Oblivion was around 300 hours, I finished more of it though. Probably 95%.

400 hours is completely believable. I would believe 500 hours if they said it. This is going to be a massive, massive game.

So happy I have a PC that can run it. Now to start secretly saving up the money so my wife doesn't find out when I buy it.

Side note: Seeing those totals makes me somewhat depressed, that's a lot of time technically "wasted". But simultaneously, as much as I loved those games. It was totally worth it

HALO 2 and 3 total hours were way worse. Combine the totals from the aforementioned 4 games, multiply by 5 and you have a low estimate of time spent online. Sadly.

"The Power of the Atom" in Fallout 3 may just be my favorite quest in video game history. Watching the bomb explode @ the top of the tower is sooooo satisfying.

I did go up to the tower and lob some nukes so I could get a nice view of them, but I certainly didn't blow up Megaton.

Pretty sure I killed the hat guy afterwards tho (Mr. Burke?) so I felt somewhat exonerated.
