I've spent most of my Dolmen time at the one just outside of Vulkhel Guard. There is a wayshrine just north of it (for easy access) and just south of it (in the city) are all the crafting stations for deconstructing.

I broke 150 over the weekend, hoping to get 160 before we leave for a week's vacation on Friday. At some point over the weekend I sold my bow so now I'm questing around hoping for a decent drop.

spent most of the weekend clearing Glenumbra and Stormhaven. Lot of fun and memorable quests.

Ventured down the Dual Wield tree on my NB and leveled it up. AoE damage is a bit weak but single target dps is incredibly high. Spell damage was killing me, but I got the spell resist boon (Lover?), Mirage, and Blade Cloak to help with resistances now.

I also learned the hard way that any stolen gear gets taken when a guard finds you, when you have a warrant out. thought I could pay the 50 gold and just go away

I found a purple chestpeice, a document of leniency (clears bounty), and a trophy, all from a thieve's trove. Opened up some kind of stolen "container" that came from one of them inside the middle of Daggerfell

saddest part is I could of just stealthed away. and ofc I deconstructed all my chests so I had to buy some shitty green one from a guild trader when I realized I was topless in the marketplace

upto lvl 41

I guess the new Warden class has all of the magic, with trees and the such?

I was at a chain, and dude kept putting some huge green tree on the ground. It looked like it froze stuff, but wasn't sure who was doing what, there was like 50 people at the chain.

The tree heals people. Don't know much else about it other than a lot of healers seem to be using it, so it's either good or everyone's using it because it's new.

I started a warden character today and have him to a level 5 because I accidentally hit a guard in Morrowind and had to go out and just kill bandits and animals nearby.

Their three "powers" are calling animals, frost, and healing.

It starts with spraying mushrooms that heal you and nearby allies.

Just made it to the Dolmen in Stonefalls only to have the server decide it was nap-time =/

Warden is a lot of fun. I rarely use the trees unless I'm with lower level folks that need help. Lots of frost damage and great companions

I don't understand how a game like this can have constant server issues.

You'll find it goes in waves. There will be months where nothing goes wrong and then a couple of weeks where few things go right. I've been playing MMO's since '96 and can't think of a single game that hasn't had this sort of trouble from time to time.

One reason I stuck with EUR. Very few issues ever, and if there is an issue it's resolved within an hour

In just about every zone are workshops where sets can be made based on traits you know. Some much better than others. You may wanna just Google it. Too many options and possibilities to explain

yeah. I found the one in Glenumbra to the east. then backtracked and found a few more.

in the top right, where it says "weapon" or "apparel" , these special ones have "set weapon" or "set apparel". the tables also have a special name

from what I can tell, "improving" gives at best a 50% chance to work. So if you need to improve a white item 4 times to make it yellow, does that mean each piece only has a 1/16 chance of improving all the way?

Ok. Will do.

How do you research traits (the very last group in the create window)

Thanks.

I have a few but it's the one under style.

Have an item in your inventory that has the specific trait.

Dont deconstruct every thing until seeing if you can research a trait off of it

Researching is how you get those special trait armors.

Most you have to have 3-4 traits researched.

So after farming a ton of stuff, research one(or 2) item in wood/blacksmith/clothing, and deconstruct the rest.

And make sure to pay attention to the blacksmithing dealios. adding skill points makes it easier to upgrade armor, research more items at one time, etc

I could never get all 9. 2 of the 3 high level players i deleted had 8 of the traits for all armor, but wasnt paying an asinine price for the last trait weapon. I should of, but money was tighter then.

Damn. I've been destroying everything!

A quicker way I'm seeing since I made the rest of my characters is to log on to each character and research 32 traits every 5-10 hours.

Is this right?

ah yeah, I noticed some of those special sets I found in the wild required 3 or 4 traits + mats.

once I get 50 ill play the trade market and buy up the ones I don't have I reckon.

saved king emeric from Vaerdina last night. pretty fun. Going into a dream or oblivion portal is always a hoot.

Research isn't account wide. It only counts for the one character you are doing it on. There is really no reason to have crafting on ever character. You really just need one.

You can only research one item at a time for each crafting type (blacksmith, cloth, wood). You can put points into the proper passives for each to increase that to three at a time. Even then, each trait you research on any individual piece takes longer than the first, progressively up until you do the ninth trait for each piece. With the passive skills maxed out, the ninth trait alone takes 27 days to research.

Researching takes a LONG time. Try to always have at least one per crafting type going at all times until you can spend the points in passives. Then try to have all three for each going at all times.
