I got Evil Geniuses to win the whole thing.

The tournament format was bad last year, glad they changed it.

I really like the meta right now too.

If we see DAC level SumaiL plays, they sure as hell could do it. I would be really happy for the old man Fear. The Secret vs EG matches are going to be insane hype.

IMO Its going to come down to EG/Secret vs VG/LGD

I personally want Secret to win just to see Arteezy go Arteezy on EG.

Arteezy Riki in the AllStar match is a lock

I'm going for EG as well because I love watching PPD's drafts and like Aui and Universe play. I enjoy the EG/Secret rivalry, it is really entertaining to see them in games and outside games. Dendi's videos from this TI have been entertaining to watch too.

Wait so First Place takes home $6 million?!?!?!?!?
im not familiar with dota how many people are on a team.

Also side note. I hate how Esport teams are in all the different games. Like Evil Geniuses and Cloud Nine in Halo and Dota. I liked when teams had original names like Triggers Down, Final Boss and Believe The Hype.

5 man teams

The payout is so large because the tournament is crowd funded

The game is immensely fun. Its one of those games, you can play one match and then go on. Or you can play a 30 game marathon.

Watching the Pro scene is AWESOME! Youll get ALOT of fun out of watching the games. And the Main Event stages will have a n00b stream for new people to get understanding of whats going on.

Ive got 700+hours in Dota2 but havent played in months. Game is hugely frustrating because no metter how good your game is you depend on 4 other knuckleheads...hard to play consistently over .500. Mmr abt 1800

If your MMR is about 1800, I guarantee you you aren't playing as well as you can every game.

Yeah other people play bad too, but there is always room for improvement.

I forgot which pro player said it, but MMR is an indication of your overall impact on the game. Are you warding, ganking, TPing to help teammates, etc. I would argue that in DotA 2 you can overcome bad teammates a little more than other ARTS type games because of the map and hero balance which allows for a good amount of creativity.

If you watch high level players play on twitch, it's amazing how much you can learn from a single game.

Team Secret about to Pubstomp the rest. Not really going to be a contest, they are just too stacked. Want Na'Vi to pull a miracle tho. I expect at least one Dendi Pudge game.

Just keep at it, I got like 1.2k hours or so. Just got over .500 record. Was about 30 under two months ago. It has a huge leaning curve but the only way to get better is to play and learn from your mistakes.

Surprised at some of the splits yesterday, and LGD tearing it up so far.

Cloud9 games are amazing since there is always the chance that they will old-EG their way to defeat.
