Does anyone seem to not like MyCareer this year?

I hate the complete lack of choice so far and maybe the story doesn't resonate for me because I'm a white kid from the south and could care less about Harlem.

I usually come up with a back story for my player in my head. I don't like not being able to do that this year. If I could disable the storyline or the announcers calling me "Freq" it would be sooooo much better.

I agree, I'm pissed right now that my player has to be some problem. It annoys the hell out of me that my player keeps arguing about the Vic thing.
I feel like this is not my player, its spike Lee's and it pisses me off.

I like what they did with the endorsements and connections, but other than that I hated it. The Spike Lee story was fricking terrible and the lack of anything going on after that cutscene wise is a real bummer. I've only had a few post game press conferences (got the same questions for two of them) and a few short cutscenes with Steph, AD, and Harden.

You can change what your player is called in the options.

Yea no longevity to the story. Its just the Freq cut scenes and its over, doesnt really let you go one way or another woth your career like before. Although I do like the game play a bit more this year though, it is much smoother IMO.

I find it hilarious that all the cut scenes are built around a black player regardless of what you actually pick, so if you don't pick a black player, you're an adopted kid in Harlem.
How hard would it have been to render the family the same as the skin color you pick?
And I hate Spike Lee the entire story line is indicative of how much of a race baiting piece kf shite he is.

Im usually my own commentator for my made up back story, Have had some interesting storylines that have came from my brain/mouth
My wife thinks its weird, but I think its awesome

I have a feeling we'd get along.
My current nfl career is with MethHead Mitchel. A recovering meth addict who cleaned up and played college ball.
He's a skinny as I could make him and about 6ft4 so he looks hilarious. The SO roles her eyes when I say shite like "he used to run from the cops and that really helped him run from linebackers on that play"
