Usually run through on my own at first. Only peaking if I'm stuck. Then I will do a walk throught with an attempt to 100%.

Yeah I am usually a completionist. So when I pull up my quests for some game I can't figure out WTF to do I usually do a google search by that quest name.

Usually I say no, but I do look for missable content and things I need for perfect ending, etc.

Not looking for how to beat things or glitches/exploits, but to make sure I can get out of the game what I want.

You know what game series I'd wager are IMPOSSIBLE to play without some sort of guide? Monkey Island.

Pretty much had to play the Monkey Island games without a guide back when they came out originally, since there was no internet and all. Those along with the Lucasfilm (maniac mansion, day of the tentacle, Zack mccracken) and sierra on-line (police quest, heroes quest, etc) could definitely be challenging.

But as for the OP, I definitely use walkthroughs down the line in games like Dragon Age and Skyrim, mainly for the maps so as not miss out on stuff.

First play through I try to do it on my own unless I get to something I absolutely cannot figure out. Then on my second play I Try to go 100% with a guide
