do people still play mmorpgs?

I have not heard any news about new mmorpgs coming out. I assume by this point those that play are maxed out.
How would a new player like a mmorpg if they just start one that has been out for years

Try ArcheAge. Just released, it's free to play. You can subscribe and get a substantial buff to your "labor points" that allow you to craft and farm to make money quicker.

They do, they're just incredibly split since there isn't one big MMO. Since a lot of new F2P have launched, a lot of games have a couple hundred thousand or so that actively play.

Playing Everquest right now. The server debacle in Archeage made me stop trying to play. I know they have more servers now, but not sure if I will give it another shot.
