I dont know... I see a lot of marquis gems drop in the streams I've seen. I think I'm going to keep a good bit of gold to cover the cost of enchanting items...

They drop already crafted from monsters now?

Yes, at least in the BETA they do. That's why I'm not sure what to do at this point. That could change for the final release... who knows.

Yep. They drop like hotcakes now. Everything in the game right now from weapons, gems, crafting materials, etc. is useless. The patch is going to completely change the game. The only reason for playing right now is to increase paragon.

I'm aiming for PL100 on just my Wiz ATM but want to at less get PL80. IDK if I will get burned out by the time RoS drops.

I have played a lot since launch but the last few weeks I have been feeling kinda burned out. I might only play a couple times a week right now. I have a barb to P100 and a witch doctor to P86 I believe. I'll probably pick back up in a few weeks, just need a break from the same content over and over...

Tonight we are grinding out some PL lvls to prepare for RoS.

Remember since Update 1.6 you get much more XP when teaming up. It is nearly pointless to play alone if lvling. Myself and UH should be on tonight. I also plan on Streaming, so bring your addys!

It would be helpful if whoever still plays or those interested in starting back to post their BattleNet ID. I'll keep the OP updated with this information.

I just got the game. I'm installing right how. Battlement id: OleMiss7#1109

I played D2 a lot. I know this game isn't great right now but I have some free time with no console ad figured I would try it out. It's taking forever to install but once it is I'll be on.

Ok questions after the first couple of hours of play.

Is there a way to rush and what is the best way to lvl? I assume there is a specific quest everyone does over and over again that gives a lot of xp?

Is there a way to skip acts and go to the end?

What kind of equipment should I be getting at the auction house. I started as a wizard.

Skip acts? Just run until all the acts at every lvl until you reach Inferno at lvl60. It is unless to farm during low lvls now.

You will be doing a lot of farming of PL lvls after hitting lvl60.

In a team.

Best areas are as follows and just Google for the best routes:

ACT I: Crypts
ACT II: The Forgotten Ruins

My favorite but it is a little outdated now is still ACT III. My route goes like this.

Rakkis-->Korsikk-->Fields-->Keep Depths 2-->[RESET]

Don't bother farming in ACT IV. It still sucks.

Don't waste too much gold on items now, just used what you have picked up.

My main is a Wiz, love them. Do you have Skype/Vent/TS/Mumble we can jump on? Can go through what builds you should run at what lvls.

I've been playing for a while now after taking an extended break, will update this post later with my battle.net tag.

Will help with rushing, plvling, and mp10.

Edit: Battletag is Sarophax#1725

So I finally update with my BT and this thread dies... I'm reviving in case anyone else still plays and wants to level hard/soft characters or just farm.

My Battletag is jackal#1503.. I'll add you guys. Working on my second Paragon 100 character(currently at 87). I'll give whoever needs some help a hand..

To reply to the earlier question I like Act 1 for XP myself.. Festering Woods - Fields of Misery (hope for Decaying Crypt) then Hollow. Probably my favorite XP run. There are some huge mobs in Act 2 Oasis also.
