Looks pretty good, but this should have been the original game.

I'll still probably get it.

Agreed. I rolled barb (I've put decent amount of time in pretty much every class but WD), but would've rolled Crusader in a heartbeat had it existed. Combat looks similar to a Barb-Monk hybrid and even though the class is called "crusader" we all know it is basically a Paladin.

A lot of exaggeration in this thread.

Worst game ever? Give me a break.

Disappointing considering it's predecessor? Yes I can agree with that.

I did not see anything bad in the announcement today and I got pretty excited about everything that was announced today, so I will be buying this. If people want to write it off, that's fine, but I think the ARPG genre is still starving for something good to come along.

Fanboys had 12 years to get all hyped up and set unrealistic expectations. Diablo III has its flaws, but I agree that it gets way more shite than a typical game of its quality deserves.

The AH and RMAH did skew the drop rates in such a way that finding legitimate upgrades on your own is almost impossible. The itemization is also not the best. Those are about the two biggest legitimate gripes I can see with the game.

I enjoyed playing D3 when I did. I have quit and come back to it a few times. It is rather grindy and so I do get bored with it, but it is fun to come back to after a while.

People hold D3 to an absurdly high standard. I don't think they realize how.. boring D2/LoD was. Baal runs, botting, and shitty pvp.

The games are very fun to play through in a group.. very fun. People just miss (most of us) how they felt playing as children. For example.. no MMO can ever compete with Ultima Online for me. They can't compete with the nostalgia. I hope ArcheAge comes close, but it's not likely.

Whine about it on the internet and claim that it is the worst game of all time.

It is like everyone that says WoW was better back in Vanilla. WoW has had its ups and downs, but I'm pretty sure a shite ton has been improved and streamlined since Vanilla.

People act like they played D2 for 12 years straight, which is complete bullshite.

They played it a lot, but more off and on.

There are posters on this board (ultimatehog) that claim to have sunk hundreds if not over 1000 hours into the game and then call it bad. Something just doesn't add up with that.

I'm not going to call D3 a better game than D2, because I don't feel like it was, but it does get wrongfully criticized, and it was a better game than most of the shite put out on the market.

I think this expansion will put D3 where it was supposed to be.

All I'm saying is there is a reason people didn't go flocking back to Diablo 2 after playing D3. It's an outdated game with a bunch of nostalgia attached to it.
