Mario Kart 64 - Block Fort.

Strategic bananas covering the bridges, under boxes, and the entire yellow block. Strategic trickboxes at the edges of the bridges. A hail of green shells at ground level when some unfortunate bastard falls down there. Three shell jousting on the bridges. Red shell seek and destroy missions.

Good times.

It took us a long while to warm up to the battle mode in MK64. Good times were had once we did.

I much prefer the Mk64 battle mode to the current versions with the coins and a timer. My friends and i would play for hours.

Obviously Goldeneye was great too.

A darkhorse suggestion would also be storming the beach in Conker's Bad Fur Day. Two or three squirrels vs one or two nazi teddies up in that fortress.

I don't think I've played a battlemode beyond 64. Might have briefly played DD.

THAT WAS AMAZING!! Man, we would play that for hours. I think there were a couple of other maps that were alright, but that Normandy map was tits.
