I'm on PS4 but I would probably wait until Destiny 2 at this point. I don't know how it is on Xbox but the PS4 community is dwindling big time. Once a new expansion or the sequel is out, the community will come back.

Rough time to start bud. By the time you get your stuff high enough to raid or play trials, Destiny 2 will basically be out.

I still play sometimes. If you play a lot, you can definitely hit max light level before Destiny 2.
