re: Dark Souls Discussion (gamertags in op)

If you have any points in strength then definitely pick it up. It'd out perform the drake sword instantly. I have 40 strength now and im pushing 600 damage.

Couple recommendations:

1. Go to Darkroot and farm Purple Moss and Blooming Purple Moss. Make sure you have a bunch of them. They really help when dealing with the Blowdart Snipers.

2. Get the Rusted Iron Ring. You get this by going back to the Undead Asylum. There is a new boss to fight there too.

3. Get the Spider Shield. It can be found in The Depths. Good poison resist.

All of this

plus there's a crimson robe set when you come in thru the back by Drake's Valley. Get it. Use it. Poison resist. Score all the blooming purple moss you can as well. Works for the blow dart dickheads when they make you toxic. The regular purple moss doesn't help with that

Yea, I used the thief set when I did Blighttown. Both work. The enemies outside of the Snipers really aren't that bad. The only thing you have to worry about is falling off the bridge.

Yea, regular purple only works for poison, which makes them useful in Blighttown, but the blooming purple are a freaking godsend.

Seriously, get a shitload of those. When you think you have enough, you don't. Get more.

With the confined space, it makes fighting them more tough. Go with quick attacks while blocking/dodging backwards rather than power.

Also, if you are any good at countering, thats a good time to use it.

re: Dark Souls Discussion (gamertags in op)
Running out of viable options

Dead bosses:

Asylum demon
Taurus
Capra (hope he does t come back)
Gargoyles
Gaping demon
Moonlight butterfly

Areas I can't survive:

Valley of drakes
Blight town
Hydra fight
Undead asylum

I'm picking my way through the catacombs with the black knight greats word. Demolishes the skeletons and am doing suicide runs on the necromancers. Ran into the primeval demon who smashes me.
