If you have any points in strength then definitely pick it up. It'd out perform the drake sword instantly. I have 40 strength now and im pushing 600 damage.

Yea new Londo ruins, getting raped in blight town. Ive left there to go find something to give me some resistance for down that hole.

1. Go to Darkroot and farm Purple Moss and Blooming Purple Moss. Make sure you have a bunch of them. They really help when dealing with the Blowdart Snipers.
2. Get the Rusted Iron Ring. You get this by going back to the Undead Asylum. There is a new boss to fight there too.
3. Get the Spider Shield. It can be found in The Depths. Good poison resist.

All of this
plus there's a crimson robe set when you come in thru the back by Drake's Valley. Get it. Use it. Poison resist. Score all the blooming purple moss you can as well. Works for the blow dart dickheads when they make you toxic. The regular purple moss doesn't help with that

I'm picking my way through the catacombs with the black knight greats word. Demolishes the skeletons and am doing suicide runs on the necromancers. Ran into the primeval demon who smashes me.
