It's pretty handy because a lot of game features are tied into it. You can send out invites to people in the party with one invite and set up squads with it.

Truth. I don't like the messaging on PS because you can'tsend a simple voice message to ssomeone. You have to type it. I do miss having 8 people in a party playing BF and both full squads are in constant communication.

yeah, that sounds pretty cool.
I was mainly thinking "cross-game chat" means that you talk with your friend who is playing a different game and that isn't something I would use.
