best place online to play chess?

Yahoo! decided to destroy their chess infrastructure in an attempt to fix something that wasn't not broken. Their new version is awful. A lot of chess sites online look like shitty boards and game pieces. Anyone know of any decent sites where you can have an established username and statistics to best match up with other opponents?

Tempest Chess dot Com is a really great place. The community is small but it's a crazy way to play chess. There are MANY ways and settings and it's very addicting. I suggest you try it out. There is a steep learning curve but you can also play regular chess.

Not with someone who actually carries interest. I never play random games on there. Those definitely last a month
