Best narrative in video game history (spoilers for HZD)

So many good ones and I’m mainly a JRPg first guy. Give me a tie between red dead 2 and FF7.

Horizon zero dawn is overrated as hell imo. Solid and good but overrated. B tier imo. Forbidden west sucks

HZD had some of the best narrative execution I’ve ever seen. The ways they peeled back the layers and revealed all the big moments to the player were expertly done
Last of Us 1 had similar. Able to take a tropey setting and really nail the execution

Metal Gear series. I know Kojima goes overboard and it gets convoluted at times but his alternate history of war and power brokering in the 20th and 21st century over 8 games(I may be missing one) is impressive.

i had a really hard time getting into FF7 Remake as someone that never played the OG.
Barret was just too over the top for me to take him seriously.
