World of Warcraft is the best game of all time. Damn near every game listed is part of wow but greatly improved upon.
There is a reason 10 million people pay $15 a month to play the game.

I'm gonna have to say Everquest also. Changed the way people played video games. Before EQ you played by yourself. After EQ all games had some kind of social media angle.

Everquest is the right answer here.
For consoles, I'd say Halo 2. It was the birth of XBL and is still the bar many FPS multiplayer games strive to reach.

Goldeneye until Ocarina of Time came out. Ocarina of Time until Halo2 came out. I know I am in the extreme minority, but the Assassin's Creed franchise is my favorite these days. I have played those games to no end.

For me I always come back to Lunar the Silver Star for Sega CD. Not any of the reboots for the PS1 or PSP...the Sega CD one was done right the first time.

although WoW was pretty tight pre-cata, its not even Blizzard's best game. Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 : Reign of Chaos/The Frozen Throne were better games
