Played the demo last night. It was fun for a bit, but ultimately I don't think it will be worth the purchase. Takes to long for the battle to unfold, and I am dissatisfied with the weapon selection after MW2. MW2 also offers a bit more instant gratification.

Anyone else getting this or passing on it?

The demo doesn't offer all the weapons. You'll get more as you level up, just like in MW2. But, the selection is inferior, I agree.

HATE MW2. May buy this one.

This is a more tactical game than MW2, so I understand why all you ADD people out there prefer MW2

the game isn't as ACTION PACKED as MW2. but it takes more strategy and skill IMO.

I loved the sounds of everything blowing up and guns going off in the distance. Sounded real. I really had no idea what I was suppose to be doing or which way to go or who to shoot. It was pretty cool though.

I agree. I like the 10 minutes sessions being short. I can get in and get out. 2 games last night on BBC2 took 2 1/2 hours. lol.

Yeah, I spent awhile perusing through all that they would have to offer. I was disappointed not to see the ACR and other weapons that have been at the forefront of modern assault rifle tech of late. They bafflingly decided to include the XCR8 though, which was scrapped by the Army and discontinued by H&K.

+1 Sounded great on the Turtle Beach 7.1's too.

I was just confused most of the game and the movement seemed a big sluggish.

I had no idea where to go. I ended up following my teammates icons eventually to find the general area of the action.

I guess you get no enemy indicators to make it more realistic.

I think the sluggishness might have been attributable to the demo aspect of the game. At several point I saw noticeable and unforgivable screen tearing, that would be unacceptable in a $59.99 game. At one point, the entire game crashed on me and froze my xbox. I'm sure that stuff will be fixed on day 1. (Or they could take a page from MW2 and not.)

I played the original for about a week once, so I had an idea of what to do. It's all about attacking or defending points of interest.

The destructible terrain and vehicles add a little more depth. It is definitely a little more slow paced than MW2. I don't consider this to be a bad thing necessarily.

I was getting annihilated by the opposing team because I was unfamiliar with the map. I wasn't sure where the spawns were or which direction the enemy was supposed to come from. I think it has potential though.

I have MW2 and play the EA battlefield (bad company) games more.

MW2 is a cool game, but I like the pace of Bad Company better. takes more strategy than running from room to room shooting like MW2.

Once you get the hang of it, you'll find it's a more well rounded war game than MW2. It takes a lot more strategy & skill.

Plus the full version will offer a lot more weapons/vehicles/gadgets and multiple game options;

Team death match
Gold rush (this is on the demo)
Capture the flag
....and a couple others

I've only played around with the demo for about two or three hours, but I noticed none of these performance issues.

This, I turned it off after about 30 minutes because I was confused as all hell. I could not figure out which direction to go or what point to actually defend.

Maybe once I play the full game, I'll be more comfortable with it but I think it'll just be a rent.

Took me a round or two to figure what to do and where to go, but after I did, it's pretty fun.

The demo is the Rush mode, where there's a team of Attackers and a team of Defenders.

There are four "zones", each with two Stations (labelled A and B) that the Attackers are trying to destroy. For each zone the Attack team gets something like 75 respawns, but if they succeed in blowing up A and B, the defenders fall back to the next zone and they have to defend a new A and B station. The defenders have no respawn limit.

It's all one map, but you progress through it as the stations are blown up. At the start the Attackers spawn (parachute) to the very bottom (or top) of the map, and the final zone is at the opposite end.
