Just bought the game today and about to play it for the first time with some buddies online. Any helpful tips for a first timer?

Don't run in the open unless you like being sniped, then having to restart from the beginning again.

Dont understand why people like the online portion of this game. It is terrible.

This. Play your class and you get rewarded. If you are going to play scout, don't run sniper decoy and trip mine. You aren't going to be helping your team. At least run a spot flare or something to spot enemies. You get a ton of points for spot kills, and you are actually a big help to your team doing that.

Ranking up Medic is pretty easy.

Spot flair is useless in hardcore. Run k bullet and binos with the Martini Henry, and be a mobile anti-sniper/support. Dont camp. The Martini Henry is brutal in hardcore.

Play Operations. Medic Class - Sweeper full auto - noob tube - gas. You'll piss off an endless amount of people and dominate
