9 year old just downloaded the demo for Pikmin 4 and game is pretty cool looking.

Are the originals worth a play?

1&2 are on the online store.

If you like real-time strategy games, they are some of the best in that genre. I've heard the 4th one has too much talking in it, though, something Nintendo gets worse about all the time.

The first Pikmin is still the best one in many ways, even if they've since improved the technology.

Been playing Pikmin Bloom on my phone for over a year, just an extra reason to get out and take walks.

They're just good ole school games with an emphasis on fun. Would recommend

Yes. Main reason I got my GameCube back in the day, as it was before the console got a number of its killer apps like Smash Bros and Super Mario Sunshine.

It is a puzzle based adventure in which you use your Pikmin of several different colors and skills to collect things to repair your ship / earn money / whatever (depends on which game).

I've only played Pikmin 3 on the Wii-U, and it was fun. Definitely a short game, but worth it imo.

Loved 1 and 3. Couldn’t finish 2.
