We've been in this gen for awhile now, and I'm surprised I haven't seen any. Especially for games like GTA V, Destiny, ESO, CoD, etc. Does Sony and Microsoft not care about this type of marketing anymore or has this current gen flopped in terms of game quality?

I'm fairly certain all PS4/Xbox One games are available digitally. For that reason, there's little purpose in investing in another print run.

Yeah between digital copies and remasters they've about got it all covered.

I would also say that digital media simply becoming more accepted as a primary means of consumption compared to the heyday of the PS3.

How could you possibly post that and want this to be taken seriously.

Especially with freaking MAG up there.

I actually liked that game. It was very Battfield-esque.

I actually never played it so I can't say it was bad. But to show it was one of those greatest hits resales and not think any current gen is worth being a greatest hits is pretty funny. When games like Bloodborne are out there.

That greatest hits label is for games that sold a certain amount of copies. There's enough cheap digital sales now that the label isn't necessary.

The "greatest hits" line was never about quality; it was about distributors pushing select games in big box stores that they thought they could squeeze some more sales out of

Same effect is done now with PSN and Steam sales

Except Greatest Hits was done pretty much exclusively by the first-party distributors (Sony, Microsoft) and not the individual publishers

I'd say it's more analogous to the "trending" section on PSN/Steam and what those distributors decide to put on sale
